Bishop Larry Richardson has been ministering since 1978, beginning as an Evangelist and transitioned to pastoring in 1981. He joined the Church of God in 1979, and became an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God in 1986.
He has pastored a total of 7 churches, and has been a faithful pastor at the Radcliff Church of God since 1995.
During his ministry, he has served as a District Overseer, Chairmen over Ministry to the Military, and served on the examination board for the licensure of ministers. He directed and was physically involved in building the current building at the Radcliff Church of God in 1996-1997, increasing the capacity from approximately 60 to 500 spaces and the addition of a fellowship hall. The former church building was approximately 2,500 sq. ft., but this could not hold Pastor Richardson's vision. Through many hard days, a storm that caused a collapse of the structure during the initial stages of building, Pastor was known to say "Let's get back to work!" and the current church building contains 9,000 sq. ft of worship and fellowship space!
In 2021, against all odds, he had a vision from God to remodel the current sanctuary. Through God's providence, this project was completely funded by the members with no additional debt accrued! The pulpit was remodeled, all new carpet was laid, new lighting installed, and the seating was replaced with 300 beautiful, new chairs. This project was a large undertaking in uncertain times, and we are so thankful Pastor Richardson heard the voice of the Lord.
He has been married to First Lady, Eula Richardson for over 50 yrs, and he has 2 sons and 2 daughter-in-laws who are all actively serving the Lord, along with 5 grandchildren.
